Laura off the air
Devoted listeners of the Laura Ingraham program will have noticed that Laura has been off the air for some time, with Monica Crowley & Tammy Bruce substituting for her. Understandably, people have been asking questions, and this morning Monica answered them with a cheery: "Laura's doing fine!"
I am sure Monica intended the best, but that kind of language when applied to someone who has had a brush with cancer is the very opposite of reassuring.
The truth is - Laura is not "doing" fine." She is fine. She was at my house swimming this past weekend with her new adoptive daughter Maria - then blasted the wheels off the bicycles at an intense spin class. The best answer to the question, "where is Laura?" appeared on Laura's own site last week, and let me repost it here:
Due to contractual obligations, for the present time I am unable to reveal why I am not currently hosting The Laura Ingraham Show. Rest assured, this absence is not of my choosing, nor is it health or family related. I am ready, willing and eager to continue the conversation we started seven years ago about politics and the culture. (Heck, if cancer couldn't keep me off the airwaves for long, nothing will.) Keep checking the site for a schedule of my appearances on the Fox News Channel. All queries regarding my on-air status should be directed to Talk Radio Network. Click here to send an email. Thanks for sticking with me, and...Power to the People!
