Ayers in the Debate

Ayers is repellent. It's awful that Obama kept company with him. And yes it's true that Obama's characterization of the relationship has been less than forthright. Still, in the midst of today's financial panic, I cannot help thinking that trying to win this election by hitting this theme is a little like Herbert Hoover trying to save himself in 1932 by pointing out that Gov. Roosevelt had signed a petition in favor of Sacco and Vanzetti ...
